Astralis Community Standards

Rules and Code of Conduct

Astralis is built for a fair, lasting community. These rules apply wherever your conduct affects the game, its players, its services, or the people responsible for operating them.

Effective August 14, 2026Applies to all Astralis accounts
By creating an account, installing the Astralis client, entering an Astralis realm, or participating in an official Astralis community space, you agree to follow these rules. The examples are deliberately detailed, but no list can describe every form of harmful conduct. Attempts to evade the wording while violating the purpose of a rule may be treated as a violation.
Rule 01

Scope and responsibility

These rules cover the Astralis website, launcher, game client, game realms, support systems, official social spaces, and any other service operated by Astralis. They also cover conduct elsewhere when it creates a direct and verifiable threat to Astralis, its services, or its community.

Your account is your responsibility

  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account, launcher authorization, and game session.
  • Keep your credentials private and secure the email address and device associated with your account.
  • Astralis staff will never ask for your password. Do not provide credentials, launcher tokens, or session data to another person.
  • Claiming that a friend, family member, or unauthorized user performed a violation does not automatically remove account responsibility.
Rule 02

Enforcement

Staff may use warnings, content removal, forced renames, chat restrictions, feature restrictions, item or currency reversals, temporary suspensions, permanent account closure, device restrictions, or service-wide bans. The action depends on severity, intent, impact, prior history, cooperation, and available evidence.

  • Severe violations may receive a permanent penalty on the first offense.
  • Related accounts, characters, guilds, transactions, and devices may be reviewed when enforcing a violation.
  • Evading a mute, suspension, restriction, or ban is a separate violation and may extend enforcement to additional accounts.
  • Staff are not required to reveal private detection methods, security data, reporter identities, or information about another account.
Context matters. Quoting, joking, roleplaying, or using altered spelling does not excuse conduct that is clearly targeted, disruptive, hateful, threatening, or designed to bypass moderation.
Rule 03

Community conduct

Treat other people as participants in a shared world, not as targets. Disagreement and competition are permitted; abuse and deliberate community disruption are not.

Prohibited conduct

  • Harassment, stalking, sustained personal attacks, or repeatedly contacting someone after being told to stop.
  • Hate speech, slurs, or demeaning content based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected characteristics.
  • Credible threats, encouragement of self-harm, publication of private information, doxxing, swatting, or intimidation involving real-world harm.
  • Sexually explicit, pornographic, or graphically violent content in public or unsolicited communication.
  • Deliberately cultivating panic, hostility, or misinformation to damage the community or drive targeted abuse.
  • Organizing, encouraging, or rewarding others to violate these rules.
Rule 04

Chat and communication

Use each channel for its intended purpose and allow other players to participate. Public global channels should remain readable and broadly accessible.

Spam and disruption

  • Do not flood chat, repeat substantially identical messages, abuse line breaks, post walls of text, or coordinate message spam.
  • Do not use excessive capitalization, misleading links, malformed markup, invisible text, or color formatting that imitates system or staff messages.
  • Do not bypass another player's ignore list through alternate characters, accounts, mail, guild tools, or third parties.
  • Advertisements for groups, guilds, or in-game trades must be reasonable in frequency and placed in an appropriate channel.

Language and newcomer spaces

  • Use English in designated global and support channels so moderation and community assistance remain practical. Other languages are welcome in private, party, guild, or specifically designated channels.
  • Newcomer and help channels are for genuine questions and assistance. Misinformation, ridicule, recruiting spam, and intentionally harmful advice are prohibited there.

Links and solicitation

  • Do not distribute malware, phishing pages, credential collectors, cheats, exploit instructions, illegal content, or deceptive shortened links.
  • Promotion of unrelated commercial services, private servers, referral schemes, or fundraising requires written staff approval.
Rule 05

Names and identity

Character, guild, pet, group, and other player-created names must be suitable for a shared game environment.

  • Names may not contain hate speech, explicit sexual references, credible threats, targeted harassment, or private personal information.
  • Names may not impersonate Astralis staff, automated services, another player, or a public figure in a deceptive or harmful way.
  • Names may not misrepresent authority through terms such as administrator, developer, moderator, support, or game master.
  • Near-duplicates, lookalike characters, unusual spacing, or formatting used to deceive others are prohibited.
  • Staff may require or apply a rename even when a name is not explicitly listed above.
Rule 06

Fair play and world conduct

Competition, contested resources, and ordinary gameplay conflict are part of an MMO. Conduct whose primary purpose is to prevent others from playing is not.

  • Do not indefinitely block essential NPCs, entrances, objectives, spawn points, transports, or interaction points.
  • Do not repeatedly train enemies onto players, exploit guard or terrain behavior, or use unreachable positions to attack without meaningful counterplay.
  • Do not sabotage organized groups through deliberate nonparticipation, false role claims, loot manipulation, or repeated intentional wipes.
  • Do not coordinate wins, losses, rankings, rewards, or matchmaking outcomes where doing so bypasses intended competition.
  • Streamers receive the same protections as other players. Targeted, repeated disruption solely because a player is broadcasting may be treated as harassment.
PvP is not harassment by itself. Combat allowed by the game remains permitted unless it is combined with exploits, threats, targeted out-of-game abuse, or sustained conduct that makes ordinary play impossible.
Rule 07

Cheats, automation, and unauthorized software

Every action that affects gameplay must come from a person actively controlling an authorized client unless Astralis explicitly documents an exception.

  • No bots, rotation automation, unattended gathering, pathing, combat scripts, input broadcasting, macros that make decisions, or tools that automate repeated gameplay.
  • No speed, fly, teleport, collision, camera, tracking, packet, memory, model, terrain, or visibility modifications that provide an advantage or bypass restrictions.
  • No DLL injection, process manipulation, debugger use against live services, packet interception, or client modification except tools and patches distributed or expressly approved by Astralis.
  • No software that reveals hidden information, predicts unavailable state, automates targeting, or changes the result of player input.
  • Accessibility tools are permitted when they assist input or presentation without automating decisions or performing gameplay unattended. Ask support before use if uncertain.
Rule 08

Bugs, exploits, and data integrity

A bug becomes an exploit when it is knowingly used to gain an unintended advantage, duplicate value, bypass progression, evade a restriction, disrupt service, or affect another player.

  • Stop using a suspected exploit and report it privately through an official support channel.
  • Do not publish reproduction steps, demonstrations, scripts, or videos before staff confirm that disclosure is safe.
  • Do not retain, trade, transfer, launder, or conceal items, currency, progression, access, or information produced by an exploit.
  • Do not test suspected vulnerabilities against other accounts or production services beyond the minimum needed to make a responsible report.
  • Benefits gained accidentally may be removed. Prompt reporting and cooperation will be considered during enforcement.
Rule 09

Economy, trading, and real-money transactions

Astralis accounts, characters, items, currency, progression, services, and access may not be exchanged for real money or anything of value outside Astralis.

  • No buying, selling, renting, gifting for compensation, or brokering accounts or characters.
  • No exchange of in-game value for money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, external game assets, subscriptions, services, or other consideration.
  • No advertising, facilitating, laundering, or knowingly receiving proceeds from real-money trading.
  • No trade scams, impersonated middlemen, deceptive item substitution, false payment claims, or abuse of known interface ambiguity.
  • Ordinary in-game trades are the players' responsibility. Staff may decline to reverse a trade unless logs show a rule violation, exploit, or service fault.
Rule 10

Accounts, multiboxing, and client access

  • Account sharing, account transfers, and use of another person's launcher authorization are prohibited.
  • One person may actively control one game client at a time. Multiple people in the same household may play from the same network on their own accounts and devices.
  • Simultaneous multiboxing, input broadcasting, mirrored control, and coordinated control of multiple characters by one person are prohibited unless an official test explicitly permits them.
  • Do not bypass account limits, geographic restrictions, suspensions, launcher checks, client integrity checks, or authentication controls.
  • Use the current launcher-distributed client. Problems caused by unsupported or stale client files may not be eligible for restoration.
Rule 11

Guilds and organized groups

Guild leaders and event organizers are expected to address repeated misconduct occurring through their group. A guild is not automatically punished for one member's actions, but groups created or maintained to coordinate violations may be restricted or dissolved.

  • Guild recruitment must follow chat and spam rules.
  • Guild names, ranks, notes, messages, and shared content follow the same standards as public communication.
  • Shared access does not excuse theft, scams, exploit laundering, or unauthorized account access.
  • Groups may not require members to participate in harassment, real-money transactions, exploit use, or rule evasion.
Rule 12

Development realm and testing rules

Moonfall is an active development realm. Systems, maps, characters, progression, items, and data may change as Warscape is built.

  • Characters, inventories, skills, currencies, names, and world state may be corrected, migrated, rolled back, or reset when development requires it.
  • Temporary access to unfinished content, staff tools, test items, invalid rewards, or unintended areas does not grant ownership or a right to retain them.
  • Do not obstruct scheduled tests, falsify results, conceal reproducible defects, or deliberately contaminate test data.
  • Do not enter closed development areas or use staff-only commands, objects, or information without authorization.
  • Compensation for downtime, resets, balance changes, or removed test progress is not guaranteed.
Rule 13

Services, software, and security

Do not interfere with the availability, confidentiality, or integrity of Astralis systems or another user's access.

  • No denial-of-service activity, traffic flooding, credential stuffing, token theft, phishing, malware, unauthorized scanning, or attempts to access private systems.
  • No abuse of the website, launcher, APIs, update service, authentication service, game protocol, support tools, or storage infrastructure.
  • No scraping or automated requests that create unreasonable load, evade limits, collect private data, or republish protected service data.
  • No distribution of private builds, leaked credentials, signing material, unreleased assets, private staff communications, or access obtained without authorization.
Security research must be responsible. Report a vulnerability privately to support@astralis.games. Do not access other users' data, persist access, damage data, demand payment, or publish the issue before it is resolved.
Rule 14

Off-platform conduct

Astralis does not moderate ordinary personal disputes across the internet. We may act on off-platform conduct when reliable evidence shows a direct connection to Astralis and a serious risk to its people or services.

  • Credible threats, doxxing, stalking, swatting, or targeted harassment of community members or staff.
  • Coordination or distribution of cheats, exploits, stolen accounts, attacks, leaked data, or real-money trading related to Astralis.
  • Impersonation of Astralis, its staff, or its support services for fraud, credential theft, or reputational harm.
  • Ban evasion or continued harassment moved off-platform to escape moderation.
Rule 15

Reports, support, and appeals

Making a report

  • Report honestly, include relevant names, times, screenshots, logs, and a concise description, and preserve original evidence when possible.
  • Do not submit duplicate tickets, knowingly false reports, edited evidence presented as authentic, or reports intended to intimidate another player.
  • Do not publicly accuse users, organize mass reports, or harass staff for a preferred outcome.

Appealing an action

  • The affected account holder may submit one clear appeal through the designated support channel.
  • An appeal should identify the action, explain the relevant facts, and provide new evidence or a specific reason the decision should be reviewed.
  • Repeated appeals without new information, abusive messages, bribery, threats, or attempts to contact multiple staff members may end the review.
  • Appeals are reviewed for error, proportionality, and evidence. They are not guaranteed to change the original decision.
Rule 16

Changes to these rules

Astralis may update these rules as Warscape, Moonfall, and the surrounding services develop. Material changes will be dated on this page and may also be announced through official news or community channels. Continued use of Astralis after an update means the current rules apply.
